Doug Nesler, DVM, Owner

Dr. Doug Nesler was born and raised in Sparks, NV.  He attended the University of Nevada, Reno for his Animal Science degree, then went on to Colorado State University for his Degree in Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Nesler started Pyramid Veterinary Hospital in May of 1982.  He was also in the Nevada Air National Guard from 1970 to 1977, then again from 1985 to 2008. 

He has been married to his lovely wife, Margaret, since 1972, who is the secretary at Spanish Springs Elementary School and Pyramid Veterinary Hospital's bookkeeper.

Dr. Nesler and Margaret have two children, Megan and Todd.  Megan is an Interior Designer, married to Mike, a Nevada State Highway Patrolman, and they have a cute little daughter, Liliana. 

Todd is the General Manager at Ruby River Steak House in Reno, married to Jessica, a teacher at Spanish Springs Elementary School, and they have a handsome little son, Parker.

Dr Nesler and Margaret enjoy their Golden Retriever, Gracie, traveling, and playing golf together.  Dr Nesler also enjoys snow skiing and fishing.  His favorite passion is treating all the family pets he sees at Pyramid Veterinary Hospital.
