Janet Maker, DVM, Owner

Dr. Janet Maker was born and raised in Carson City, NV.  She attended Utah State University where she graduated with honors and proceeded to attend Colorado State University for veterinary school. 

Dr. Maker moved back to Nevada in 1989 and began practicing veterinary medicine at Pyramid Veterinary Hospital, where she became a partner.  Her interests include dermatology and reptile medicine.

Dr. Maker is married and has two daughters.  They share their home with two dogs and four Silcata Tortoises.  Their family spends their free time exploring new places in the western United States.  They have a goal of traveling to a new place every year and have discovered that there is beauty and goodness everywhere; one only has to look for it.
