Melissa Palmer, DVM

Dr. Melissa Palmer was born and raised in Central Michigan where she attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University.  Melissa moved to Reno, Nevada and has been with Pyramid Veterinary Hospital since 2004.

Dr. Palmer is also Pyramid Veterinary Hospital's main pocket pet doctor.  She treats rabbits, rats, hampsters, guinea pigs, and more, along with dogs and cats.  Sorry, no birds.

Dr. Palmer is an avid runner, usually running two marathons per year.  Dr. Palmer and her husband, Eric, also enjoy scuba diving and traveling.  She also loves to cook and currently, she has two cats and a bird at home.
